Log into your website's Kentico Admin Dashboard (Use http://<sitename>.tamu.edu/admin) and select the Pages application.
-
Open the Pages application. Then, locate and select a Blog Container that you want to add Blog months and Blog posts under.
If a Blog month for the current month your Blog post will be under doesn't exist, you will need to create a new Blog month instance before adding your new Blog post.
To create a new Blog month, select the current Blog Container. Then, click the New button and select Blog month as shown in the figure below.

-
Enter a title for the Blog month in the Month name field. A good practice is to have your title display the month name plus the year (e.g. May 2020). Choose the month's starting date by left clicking the calendar icon to the right of the Month starting date field.
Once you've entered a Month name and Month starting date, click the Save button. Now you can begin making Blog posts under it.

-
To create a new Blog post, select the current Blog month. Then, click the New button and select Blog post as shown in the figure below.

-
Enter a title for the Blog post in the Post title field. Choose the post's date by left clicking the calendar icon to the right of the Post date field. Enter the Blog post's content in the Post text field.
Lastly, enter the blog post's summary in the Post summary field. This field is displayed on your website's home page or full listing of blogs underneath a single blog post. This field must be text only - no hyperlinks or images are allowed.

-
Select a preview image for the Blog post by clicking the Upload file button by the Post teaser field.
To enter tags for your Blog post, at least one tag group must be assigned to your current website. If your Blog post's Tags field is unselectable, create a SDP request for a PITO WebCMS developer to set up a tag group for your website.
Once your website's tag group has been assigned, enter tags for your Blog post separated by commas, spaces, and quotation marks. For example, "Fiscal Policy", "Economics", "Health Care".
-
Save, Check-in, and Submit for approval (if approval is part of your workflow).

If there is an approval workflow assigned to your blog, you will be notified that Blog posts must be approved before they are published.
Otherwise, click on the Publish button to publish your Blog post and make it live.
